Mangalore Trip

We two (me and sowmya) started from our home @ 9am , rented a city taxi to Mejestic , Bus starated (Airavath) at around 11:20am . We reached Mangalore at 8:00pm , We already had booked Hotel at Srinivas. (Hotel was just ok room rent was around 700/- per day 24 hr checkout) I was too tied of the day's journey. We reached Hotel by an Auto (Next time we should book Hotel Mangalore International or any other on that some road). We got this hotel address from suleka.com.

I asked at reception to book our taxi for next day's trip .
We started at 6am and taxi driver was too good and so co-operative. First our aim was to reach 'kuladevata Kshethra' Sri Narasimha murty temple at Saligrama . We reached there at 7:45am , When I see the Idol of Narasimha moorthy I really get devoted we do some offerings and visited Sri Hanuman temple just opposite to it.Again I have to wait at Narashima temple to book our ond day pooja ticket since ticket counter opens at 8:30 am

As per our driver's advice we headed towards Mookambika. Between we had our breakfast at kundapura; after kundapura we took a right turn towards Mookambika temple. The road was small but good.


It was Deepavali ; still we didn't see much rush there at Mookambika temple.
Coming back to Udupi we visited Sidha Vinayakatemple - Hattiangadi where we experienced a great incident - In this temple we can offer 'oovana pooja' (RS 30)where Priest will ask us to sit in a mat ,we have to pray then priest will start chanting 'Ganapaty slogas' loudly till the 'oovana flowers ' fall from Gadapathi's head. It took around 20 mints to fell down in our case. If those flowers didn't fell down we would have been so disappointed!!! Anyway it was a great relaxation once those flowers fell down in front of our eyes.


We Visited one another Vinayaka temple but it was closed , reached Udupi at around 1:00. We had our lunch and visited Udupi Sri Krishna temple and left the place by around 2:30pm. At Mangalore we visited Hi-Fi temple 'Kudroli Gokarnath Temple'

We getdown at our Hotel at 4:30pm and he charged 1900/- (worth it!!) We took a short break then we took a walk to have icecreams from Ideal Icecream parlour

Our bus was at 11:00pm , we spend our time and had food at Bigbazzar just opposite to KSRTC Busstand.
